Pray like it all relies on God. Work like it all relies on you.

This summer has flown by! I can't believe it is already the end of July. Say what?!? Well now that the letters are out there is not much more "paper work" left but the application to Israel. As I type my printer is in full swing of spitting out the application + letter. I have gotten the go-ahead for the application part, my passport is getting lonely and I have left the rest up to prayer and trust. I have been so blessed by my summer job for the past nine years (giving surf lessons) and this being the "last" summer - I am putting all of my time and energy into it. I know I am ready to move on but part of me is going to have a hard time letting go of it. I simply have to remind my self that God's got it under control. As my pastor once told me "Pray like it all relies on God, Work like it all relies on you." That is my motto for the summer. God has opened so many doors, blessed me in so many ways it is crazy. This summer has been busy and challenging but I know it's all in preparation for what he has in store for me next.
So for those who are reading this join me in prayer. Pray for the Surfing The Nations staff + teams. Pray for the hearts of those who I will meet both on the island and (hopefully) the middle east. Pray that God is working in them now to be ready to have a soft heart for when we come to rock their world ;) Pray for me as I prepare both emotionally and financially for this trip. Thanks for all those who have prayed for me and for those who have felt led to help support this mission.
